Fernwood agentic is a small startup based in Victoria, BC, building Language Model-based applications using retrieval augmented generation and knowledge graphs. Our first clients have been organizations working in the humanitarian aid sector, specifically on projects in the context of Education in Emergencies, Child Protection and Child Safeguarding. Our software, called Living Index, transforms long, fragmented policy and research libraries into practical tools that experts can query in plain language, safely, transparently, and with collaboratively defined guardrails.
